What do we use on our own pets?

Many times we get asked do you use this on your pet? What do you think of this new product? I think the best way to learn about a product is to give it a try. Many items we choose to bring into our practice we discuss at length and think how will this help our clients and their pets? Will this make a positive impact on our client with their pet? Is this an item our clients have asked about in the past? Would we use this product on our own pet? We get our whole team involved and sometimes even our family members who have pets too. We want to bring in items that will enrich your pet’s life in some way.
Today’s topic is Dermoscent Essential Mousse. I think grooming our pets at home on a regular basis is key to many things. Even if we can’t trim their toe nails at home, handling their feet will help when we bring them to the vet to get their nails trimmed. Having our dogs and cats get used to us looking at their eyes, ears, and just touching them all over will make trips to the veterinarian and the groomer so much easier. The more we can get them comfortable with this type of touch, the less stressful it will be for them in the long run.
I love trying new products on my pets. I love it because to me it is fun, it is a new way to train them or to bond with them and for them to bond with me.
Grooming tools are something I enjoy trying-out on my pets. I have a Standard Poodle who LOVES the hair dryer. I go to dry my own hair daily and he comes running to have his dryer time too. For me, at-home grooming is critical. It is my chance to check for lumps and bumps, make sure ears are clean, make sure that any current and known-about lumps and bumps have not grown or changed in color or shape.
One of the products that we carry here that you can use at home is the Dermscent Essential Mousse. It is a nice soap-free waterless shampoo. We have it for dogs and cats. It is a nice product to use in between professional grooming or bathing of your pet. It is a silky, foam that pumps out of a clear bottle and has a nice refreshing eucalyptus scent. It also has essential oils and fatty acids to keep the coat nice and shiny.
I take one or two pumps for my cats and just start petting them with it in my hands while working it into their coats. They love the attention, don’t mind the mousse, and truly enjoy the bonding time. Sometimes for added fun for them I will use a Zoom Groom while doing this and that is like a deep tissue massage for them. They love it. I have one cat that sees me get the mousse and the Zoom Groom and she will meow and meow. I swear she is begging me to give her a massage first before all the other pets in the house.
For my small dog, she is about 22 pounds, she gets three pumps of the mousse and for my bigger dogs they get 3-4 pumps. Again, I just dispense it into my hands and start petting them and rubbing bellies and they just love it.
When I am all done I have some great fresh-smelling pets. I use this if it has been a bit long between baths and we have houseguests coming over or just because I want them to smell fresh but don’t feel like giving them all a bath at the same time.
Please be our guest and come on by and ask about Dermoscent Essential Mousse, you can smell it and feel it for yourself.

Yes keeping our pet clean and groom them on daily basis can make them stay away from any disease.
